Meet Our Founder Maria Jose

Maria Jose, the visionary founder of Allied Schooling, hails from the humble town of Cayambe, Ecuador. As the first in her working-class family to earn a bachelor’s degree, her journey exemplifies resilience and an unwavering dedication to education.

A recipient of the National Gold Medal at the Ecuadorian Mathematical Olympiads, Maria’s passion for mathematics and science propelled her to pursue higher education internationally. She holds a Civil Engineering degree from the Escuela Politécnica Nacional in Quito and a Law degree from Universidad Técnica Particular de Loja. Her academic pursuits further expanded through a prestigious National Doctoral Degree Scholarship from the Chilean government, leading her to study at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and the University of Colorado Boulder, where she earned dual PhDs in Engineering Sciences and Civil Engineering.

Beyond her academic achievements, Maria is committed to mentorship and advocating for equal access to higher education, with a particular focus on empowering women. Aspiring to become a university professor, she envisions Allied Schooling as a platform to inspire and uplift learners worldwide—especially those who face challenges but possess an unstoppable drive to succeed.
